Biography
Dries Cnuts (PhD) is 1er logisticien de recherche at TraceoLab. He specialises in the microscopic residue analysis of stone tools, with a focus on technological developments during the Late Pleistocene and Early Holocene.
His research combines high-resolution microscopy (including scanning electron microscopy) and experimental archaeology to identify organic and inorganic traces (e.g., resins, fibres, bone materials). A central aspect of his work involves the taphonomic study of these traces, analysing the impact of post-depositional processes and contamination on the reliability of scientific evidence.
