Summary
While functional studies traditionally focus on wear traces and/or residues to obtain unique data on prehistoric subsistence and technology, the project aims to obtain higher-resolution data by integrating SEM-EDS within the current analytical trajectory in order to grasp changing human behaviours, in particular with regard to resource exploitation, hafting techniques and adhesives in relation to tool morphology and assemblage variability.
